The highlight of my week is witnessing students grow in their reading/writing skills and self-confidence. As an avid reader myself, I have always been curious about the science and psychology behind the process. My first Masters degree is in education, specifically related to early literacy and phonological awareness. My second Masters degree is in Speech-Language Pathology.

When providing literacy support, each student is assessed individually, and intervention is flexibly adjusted to each of their needs. I incorporate my knowledge of reading, writing, language development, executive functions, and speech sound disorders to target individual gaps in learning.
